The Wall Street Journal has plans to overhaul its Money and Investing section, reports Joe Pompeo of Capital New York.
Pompeo writes, “Editor in chief Gerard Baker told employees Monday that the Journal will be ‘comprehensively overhauling our Money and Investing section – for digital and print – with faster and more lively real-time commentary on global markets and deeper analysis of the powerful trends moving the world of business and finance.’
“The Journal’s metro section, Greater New York, is likewise getting a revamp that will include ‘a broader range of news and features’ later this fall, he said.
“Meanwhile, the Journal is ‘developing plans to launch a new digital product in London for the large and vibrant financial market community there,’ according to Baker, who outlined the new initiatives in a wide-ranging internal memo, obtained by POLITICO, about the state of the Journal.”
