WSJ tech editor for Europe leaves paper for PR

Amir Mizroch, the tech editor for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for The Wall Street Journal, has left the newspaper.

He had been in that position since early 2014.

In an email to Talking Biz News, Mizroch said he is moving to PR with London-based Milltown Partners.

Mizroch, who was based in London, started his journalistic career in television in South Africa. He spent eight years at the Jerusalem Post, managing the online newsroom, then heading up the paper’s news division before being appointed executive editor.

Before joining the Journal, he started up the English online edition of Israel Hayom, the country’s biggest circulation paper, while hosting a daily news talk show in Tel Aviv.

Mizroch was born just outside of Tel Aviv and raised in South Africa, graduating from Rhodes University in Grahamstown.
