WSJ taps Douglass to be newsroom coordinator for talent

Megan Douglass

Sarah Rabil, assistant managing editor for talent at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following announcement:

Folks:

I’m thrilled to announce that Megan Douglass is joining the managing editor’s office as my deputy, beginning Feb. 12. As the Newsroom Coordinator for Talent, Megan will be a valuable partner in supporting the Journal’s recruitment and career development efforts.

In expanding our talent team, we’ll be able to devote more time and attention to working with hiring managers, senior editors and the rest of the newsroom to ensure that the Journal is a diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplace.

As a veteran WSJ journalist versed in our digital evolution, Megan is uniquely placed to help us recruit and retain the best talent in the news business. She started at WSJ.com as an intern in 2003 and has since held a variety of digital roles around the newsroom, most recently as Deputy Editor of the Emerging Media team. Megan lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two kids, a dog and a gecko. A Cleveland native, she has fierce Ohio pride, loves the Indians and isn’t mad at LeBron for leaving.

I hope you’ll join me in congratulating Megan and wishing her the very best in this new role.

Thank you,

Sarah
