Wall Street Journal Sunday editor David Crook sent the following message to his newspaper clients on Wednesday:

As many of you have probably already learned, Dow Jones will be closing The Wall Street Journal Sunday in February.

Rest assured, that until our final issue, we will continue to serve you and our readers with the best, most timely personal finance journalism available.

We will keep producing and delivering a section that you and we are proud to put our names on.

Thank you all for your support of Sunday Journal over the years.

In an email to Talking Biz News, Crook wrote that his three goals between now and the Sunday insert’s closing are:

No. 1 job is to continue publishing a high quality Sunday Journal.

No. 2: Get Chris Gay and Lindsay Gellman placed within WSJ.

No. 3: See what opens up here first or, if necessary, elsewhere.
