Wall Street Journal reporter Tripp Mickle is taking on the Google beat.
He has been on a book leave to write a book about Apple after Steve Jobs. It’s a momentous time for Google as the pandemic deepens the influence of its products, even as regulators scrutinize its business practices.
Prior to his new role, Mickle covered Apple for four years, writing about Apple’s relationship with Donald Trump, Jony Ive’s departure and the Blevinator.
He started at The Journal in the Atlanta bureau covering alcohol and tobacco.
Mickle also worked for the Sports Business Journal for eight years.
