Wall Street Journal reporter Georgi Kantchev, who has been based in the Moscow bureau, is moving to its Berlin bureau.
He will be covering business and the economy.
He has been in Moscow since May 2019. He previously was in the London bureau since December 2014 covering financial markets. Kantchev was a finalist for the Gerald Loeb Award in 2016.
He previously worked as a freelance reporter for The Economist and The New York Times. His work has also appeared in Foreign Policy, VICE, National Post (Canada) and Deutsche Welle (Germany), among others.
Kantchev is a graduate of the University of Vienna and the University of Westminster.
