He joined the paper two years ago and has been covering criminal justice.
He previously was an award-winning reporter covering education for the New York Daily News.
A graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, Chapman wrote more than 2,200 articles about New York City schools for the Daily News since joining the paper in 2009.
His work has also appeared in the Washington Post and the New York Times.
