WSJ names Tweh its deputy bureau chief for corporate coverage

Bowdeya Tweh has been named deputy bureau chief for corporate coverage at The Wall Street Journal.

He will start his new position next month.

“There’s so many fantastic reporters and editors in the tech bureau and I’ve learned so much from them,” he wrote on Twitter. “Looking forward to contributing to another strong coverage team.”

Tweh has been a New York-based news editor for the technology team, handling news, features, newsletters, live blogs and more. Tweh previously served as the Journal’s Spot News Editor, a role in which he oversees reporters covering breaking business and finance news.

Before joining the Journal in 2017, Bow was the business editor at the Cincinnati Enquirer, where he also earned an M.B.A. from Miami University. He has also worked as a business reporter at the Times of Northwest Indiana and interned at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Detroit Free Press, Crain’s Detroit Business and Automotive News.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
