WSJ names Rose its elections editor

Wall Street Journal coverage planning chief Elena Cherny and DC bureau chief Paul Beckett sent out the following announcement:

We are delighted to announce that Josée Rose will be the elections editor, working across the newsroom to coordinate all aspects of our 2020 election coverage.

Josée will work closely with the D.C. bureau and the visuals, platforms and PDE teams to manage everything from special sections in print to the digital experience during primary and election nights to our biggest visual efforts. Ensuring that these teams are closely connected will help the Journal to develop new and innovative ways of telling stories as we report out the 2020 campaign and vote. Josee will report to Elena.

Josée has worked for the Journal for 17 years and has held an impressive array of roles across print, wires and digital. After getting her start at the Journal as a paginator, she worked as an editor and reporter for the wires, was an assistant art director on Page One, and worked on the real-time desk. During the last few years, she has made a significant contribution to our digital publishing efforts, including during her time working on the New York hub, and since 2017, on the London hub.
