Jamie Heller, the Wall Street Journal deals editor, sent out the following announcement on Monday:
We are glad to announce that Matt Jarzemsky is joining the deals team as our bankruptcy and restructuring reporter.
For the last two and a half years, Matt has covered markets for the Journal, most recently IPOs. He is a proven newsbreaker, regularly nabbing scoops on big stories including on Twitter and Weibo. He is also an analytical and creative thinker who has delivered enterprise features on topics from GoPro and GrubHub to post-IPO stock sales and the overall IPO market.
Before covering markets, Matt spent two years at the Dow Jones Newswires, on rewrite and as a general assignment business reporter. He’s also worked at a commercial real-estate newsletter.
Matt is from Madison, Wis. and attended the University of Missouri.
We are thrilled to have him join the deals team on this important beat.
