I am delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Bird as deputy editor of Personal Journal.

As a news editor on Personal Journal for the last several years, Laura has worked on some of our most memorable stories. Laura elevates ideas with her remarkable ability to see a new angle and her fantastic visual storytelling. She has a rare mix of creativity and reporting instinct.

As always, we welcome your story ideas in Personal Journal. Please send pitches to Laura Bird and me.

Please join me in congratulating Laura.
