WSJ makes changes to corporate team

Wall Street Journal business editor Jamie Heller sent out the following announcement on Thursday:

Hello,

I am thrilled to welcome several new people to the corporate team and also share word of some great openings. If you’re interested or know someone who would be, please let me or the appropriate bureau chief know.

First, our new arrivals:

Katherine Blunt is joining us in Houston to cover electricity and renewable energy. Katherine joins us from the Houston Chronicle, where she most recently also covered energy. She starts in November.

Chip Cutter has joined us in New York to cover management & careers. Chip joined us from LinkedIn, where he wrote and edited as editor at large.

Jared Hopkins is joining us in New York to cover pharmaceutical companies. Jared joins us from Bloomberg, where he also was covering pharma. He starts in November.

Shan Li has joined us in Beijing to cover tech. Shan previously worked at the Los Angeles Times, where she covered a variety of corporate beats.

Inti Pacheco has joined us in New York, where is he doing data-oriented corporate reporting. Inti joined us from Univision News.

Several people took editing positions on our squad in recent months. They include:

Also: John Corrigan will be moving from Beijing to Washington to lead our business coverage in that bureau.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
