WSJ is the most trusted U.S. news media

The Wall Street Journal is the most-trusted U.S. news media, according to a study from Simmons Research, which studies consumer opinions.

The Journal is trusted by 57.7 percent of consumers. No. 2 is ABC News, which is trusted by 55.9 percent of consumers.

The closest business news organization is Forbes, which is No. 5 and is trusted by 54.2 percent of consumers.

Financial news service Reuters is No. 12, trusted by 46.6 percent of consumers. Right behind it is Bloomberg, which is trusted by 46.3 percent of consumers.

The Economist was No. 18, trusted by 44.7 percent.

Simmons Research conducted a survey of American adults in order to learn how much Americans at large trust the media.

It asked respondents to let Simmons know how trustworthy or untrustworthy they found 38 of the largest and most well-known news sources commonly available in the US. News sources included represented a wide variety of mediums, including print, online, radio, and television with many of them operating across platforms.
