Elizabeth Winkler of The Economist has been hired by The Wall Street Journal to write for its “Heard on the Street” column.
Winkler was the Marjorie Deane Fellow at The Economist, writing for the finance/economics, business and U.S. sections out of London. She also contributed for the past eight months while in Washington.
Winkler also previously worked for Quartz as a breaking news reporter in Washington.
She has also written for The Washington Post, Los Angeles Review of Books, Foreign Policy, TechCrunch and The Millions.
Winkler graduated from Princeton University in 2011 and completed an M.A. in English literature at Stanford University in 2013.
