WSJ hires Juarez as photo editor

Thalia Juarez

Thalia Juarez has joined The Wall Street Journal as a photo editor.

Juarez is a multiplatform journalist specializing in visual storytelling. Recently, Juarez was with The Baltimore Sun working as a digital journalist, audience and multimedia producing unique and engaging social media posts and videos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram among other tasks.

She has also worked as a multimedia journalist/digital producer at Capital Gazette Communications producing multimedia content about local artists, culture, food, and contributing to investigative stories while also performing other tasks.

Juarez was also a multimedia journalist/staff photographer at Herald Standard and held the post of senior photographer at The Daily Texan. She was also KUT/KUTX multimedia intern at KUT Public Media.

Additionally, she has also worked as a photographer at both Vesper Public Relations and Eastman Kodak Company.

Juarez has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from University of Texas at Austin.
