WSJ hires Hartley as senior video journalist

Eve Hartley

The Wall Street Journal has hired Eve Hartley as a senior video journalist.

She will start next week.

Hartley has been a producer and reporter for Yahoo News covering news and politics for the past two years. Previously she worked as a freelance journalist from Colombia, covering international issues, LGBT rights and subcultures.

During her time in South America she contributed to publications such as the BBC, VICE, The Telegraph & more. Prior to that she was multimedia editor at HuffPost UK.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
