WSJ hires Forman to be tech columnist for “Heard on the Street”

Laura Forman

Wall Street Journal senior tech columnist Dan Gallagher, who writes for “Heard on the Street,” sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:

Some of you may have noticed that the SF Heard bureau has doubled in size.
Meet Laura Forman, who joins Heard on the Street after an actual career on the Street. This former track star held positions in equity research and sales at Piper Jaffray, Leerink Swann and Bear Stearns, though her career at the latter was cut short by the bank’s untimely failure (which, for the record, she did not cause). She has also held investor-relations positions in the biotech industry and co-founded a digital fashion company. In her spare time, she  managed a masters degree in journalism from Stanford (Princeton undergrad), the occasional 5K and the birth of two sons, now ages 3 and 4. Consequently, it’s unclear to me when Laura sleeps.
Laura will join me in covering all things tech for the column. Catch her inaugural piece on one of Eliot’s favorite companies below. And find her on twitter at @DoubleLJSquared
