Elizabeth Findell, a reporter at the Austin American-Statesman, has been hired by the Wall Street Journal to cover Texas.
She will be based in Houston.
Findell has been with the Austin daily since April 2016. She previously covered Dallas City Hall for the Dallas Morning News and also worked at the Monitor covering seven cities along the U.S.-Mexico border.
She is a graduate of Colorado College.
