The Wall Street Journal has hired Chip Cutter to cover work and management issues.

Cutter has been at LinkedIn for the past seven years.

On LinkedIn, Cutter wrote, “I’m thrilled to be in the WSJ newsroom alongside so many talented reporters and editors. But I’ll also forever be grateful for my time at LinkedIn. My life would be far different without Daniel Roth, a peerless editor who is not only an outstanding journalist, but a wonderful human — a true friend, mentor and master at guiding a team. I’ve learned so much from him.”

Cutter had been news editor, senior editor and managing editor at LinkedIn. Before that, he was a business reporter for the Associated Press covering Wall Street and financial markets.

Cutter holds a journalism degree from Indiana University.
