The Wall Street Journal has hired Lalita Clozel to cover banking regulation out of its Washington bureau.
Clozel previously worked at The American Banker, where she covered fintech regulation, anti-money-laundering, cybersecurity and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. in its Washington bureau.
Before that, Clozel was Technical.ly D.C.’s first reporter, developing sources, creating a presence and breaking local stories on technology and entrepreneurship.
She is a University of Pennsylvania graduate in economics and humanities philosophy.
She was the Center for Response Politics’ reporting intern for summer 2014. Originally from Paris, France, she has also interned at The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and FactCheck.org.
