The Wall Street Journal Europe has hired the Daily Telegraph‘s Tracy Corrigan to replace Patience Wheatcroft as editor, reports Jason Deans of The Guardian.
“Wheatcroft is leaving the Wall Street Journal Europe after being made a Conservative peer last month.
“Corrigan will have the same job title as Wheatcroft — editor-in-chief, Europe for the Wall Street Journal. Like her predecessor she will also report to Robert Thomson, the former Times editor who is the WSJ’s New York-based publisher.
“Corrigan joined the Daily Telegraph in 2008 after 18 years at the Financial Times, where her roles included news editor, FT.com editor and New York correspondent. In her final two years at the financial title she edited the Lex column.”
