Mariko Sanchanta, a senior Asia editor for The Wall Street Journal who is joining the Burson-Marsteller public relations firm in Hong Kong as a managing director, sent a goodbye email to her colleagues on Thursday.

Tomorrow is my last day at the WSJ. I’m extremely grateful to have worked alongside such intelligent, driven and witty comrades in both Tokyo and Hong Kong – and to have met and worked with so many others across the globe.I leave with the fondest of memories. Please keep in touch.
