WSJ announces promotions in content experiences team

Lydia Serota, head of content experiences at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following announcement:

Greetings. We’d like to share some exciting developments in the Content Experiences team in DXS.

Alyssa Zeisler is now R&D Chief and Senior Product Manager for Editorial Tools. This unites our suite of newsroom tools, bringing together our core tools with emerging technologies and computational approaches. Alyssa and team will set and maintain a high standard for all tools in use in the newsroom, thinking about our goals of growing active days and audience reach to find ways that tools can be additive to those goals. She was previously a Managing Editor at Barron’s, where she created and led the editorial development team, and also has worked at the Financial Times, where she was a founding member of the Audience Engagement and Communities teams.

Marina Guvenc is senior program manager for CMS and Editorial Tools and will work closely with Alyssa and Alka Sulakhe, engineering director for editorial tools, while continuing to partner with Tyler Chance on our new CMS and Newsgrid. Marina has been with the team for more than two years, and was one of the leaders in the development and rollout of the Newsgrid planning tool. She was previously at Reuters and the Economist as well as the New York Times, where she led the creation of the in-house authoring tool.

Allison Foley is project director for the Innovation Team and has been instrumental in leading Project Boomerang. Allison has been with the DXS team for two years, project managing the creation of important newsroom tools like GenderME, Transcriptor and Talk 2020. She was previously at POPSUGAR, leading the East Coast Project Management Team.

Happy to answer any questions, and hope you all have a good week.

–Lydia, Kabir and Louise
