Alexandra Kaptik, the editing chief at The Wall Street Journal, sent out the following announcement:

Hi all, We will be adding some members to the Publishing Desk over the coming weeks. These are talented staffers you probably already know. Please join me in welcoming them to the group. In order of start date:

Jeff McCulley joins us Sept. 16 from the Newswires desk, where he has been a Publishing Editor for the past year. Before that he was on the Real-Time desk, and with Newswires going back to the days at Harborside, where as a slot editor for the Capital Markets Report he developed a rapport with our Washington reporters who cover economic indicators. In his free time, Jeff enjoys traveling with his wife, Eriko, especially to her home country of Japan.

Corinne Abrams is moving from our Mumbai bureau to start as a Publishing Editor on Sept. 25. Corinne has worked for the Journal for almost six years. In India, she was a news editor and also wrote about everything from hotel startup Oyo to Mumbai’s metro project. Earlier in Hong Kong, she worked as an editor on the Real-Time desk where she edited stories, managed homepages and ran the slot. Before Hong Kong, Corinne worked in London for British newspapers — her last role there was commissioning editor at the Times.

David Marino-Nachison rejoins the Journal now as a Senior Publishing Editor after about two years as a writer at Barron’s and, before that, two as the enterprise editor at MarketWatch. Dave (or David, both are fine) moved to New York in 2013 after seven years as an editor at the Washington Post. Many years ago, he was a writer and editor for the Federal Filings newswire. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Rachel, and toddler son, Arthur. Dave will be visiting us on the sixth floor ahead of his start in mid-October.

Plus:

Please congratulate Rich Bellis on his recent promotion to Senior Publishing Editor. Rich has been a go-to editor and problem-solver on complicated stories across platforms since joining the desk last summer. His deft edits, speed on breaking news, strong digital acumen, ease with presentation and affable approach with bureaus on deadline are appreciated all around. Additionally, he has contributed to our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and helped the Strategy team on new efforts. We look forward to his continued contributions.

Cheers, Lex
