Thomas Grillo, who has written for The Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Boston Business Journal, has joined Worcester Business Journal as a staff writer.
A story on its website states, “Grillo will cover the real estate and manufacturing industries in his role as a reporter for the WBJ newsroom. In his previous reporting roles, Grillo wrote about real estate and edited the BBJ’s real estate enewsletter.
“‘It is an absolute honor to have a journalist of Thomas’ calibre join the WBJ newsroom,’ said WBJ Editor Brad Kane. ‘He has a history of breaking major news and writing in-depth articles on complex topics, and the WBJ audience will be better served with Thomas on our staff.’
“Grillo most recently worked for the Daily Item in Lynn where he wrote about the city’s revitalization efforts. He has won numerous awards in his career, including two recent ones from the New England Newspaper & Press Association, for a series on elder abuse and hunger.”
