Kara Bloomgarden-Smoke has been hired by Women’s Wear Daily to cover the media industry.
She will start Dec. 1.
Bloomgarden-Smoke covered the media industry as a reporter and senior editor at The New York Observer from 2012 until this summer and has written for various publications, including The Week, The Christian Science Monitor website, The New York Daily News’ politics blog, Newsday, New York Press, City and State, and the Gotham Gazette.
She is an alum of CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and has an undergraduate degree in literature and history from Bennington College.
