Wisconsin paper names biz reporter

The Wausau Daily Herald has promoted Jeff Starck to jobs and economy reporter from his previous position as public safety reporter covering crime and fire news.

A story on the Daily Herald website states, “In his new beat, Starck will serve as the primary contact for business news and will place special emphasis on topics that affect jobs and economic development in north central Wisconsin.

“Starck brings nearly 10 years of newspaper reporting experience to the job, including the past six years at the Daily Herald. Previously, he was a reporter for the Lakeland Times in Minocqua.

“He is a University of Wisconsin-River Falls graduate who grew up in the Madison and Milwaukee areas.”
