The Verge senior tech editor Lauren Goode has been hired by Wired magazine as a senior gear writer.
She starts in early April and will be writing online and in print, as well as developing a new video series
Prior to becoming a senior editor at The Verge, Goode was managing editor of consumer tech coverage at Re/code and was a senior tech reviewer at AllThingsD.com.
Before that, she worked as a multimedia producer and reporter at the Wall Street Journal Digital Network from 2008 to 2011, where she helped launch its live-streaming video programming and produced and co-hosted the “Digits” technology show. She started her career in media working from the ground up in cable television, most notably at A&E Television Network and ESPN in New York.
Goode earned her undergraduate degree in English from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., and also has a masters in communications from Stanford University.
