Chris Heinonen, senior staff writer at Wired, is leaving to join Apple.
Heinonen has been with Wirecutter for over eight years, covering audio/video, tablets and other technology areas.
He also runs Reference Home Theater, where he manages everything from web hosting and design to review writing and editing. The site provides reviews of audio and video components.
He also served as a senior displays editor at AnandTech.com in Portland, Oregon. He was also a senior editor at Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity, a site launched in 1994 covering audio/video journalism.
Additionally, he has worked various software roles, including serving as a software engineer.
Heinonen graduated from Southern Oregon University.
