The Wilkes Barre Times Leader is making changes to its business section, including the addition of the Associated Press Money & Markets page, writes business editor Ron Bartizek.
Bartizek wrote, “Starting Tuesday The Times Leader’s business section will look dramatically different than it does now. Not just the appearance will change; so will content, as we attempt to bring you the region’s best business coverage in an entertaining, easy-to-digest and informative style.
“The improvements will be noticeable starting on the first page, where every day except Sunday you’ll get a quick look at timely topics in a feature titled ‘Today’ that will run above the section nameplate. Also, the daily Wall Street report will become a story rather than a short summary, and will be positioned on the page depending on the newsworthiness of the previous day’s trading.
“The most radical revision will take place on the stock and mutual fund listings page. The Associated Press, which supplies our listings, launched a new format earlier this year that incorporates informative graphic elements with the lists. We have chosen three of the available modules to replace the highlights and other features at the top of the page.”
