Nicholas Jungman, currently the managing editor of the Wichita Business Journal, has been named the student media director at Oklahoma University.
A story on the Norman Transcript website states, “Announcement of Jungman’s appointment, which is subject to the approval of the OU Board of Regents, was made this past week by Susan Sasso, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Dean of Students.
“‘The search committee was pleased to have an excellent pool of candidates for the position,’ Sasso said. ‘We are excited about Nick’s passion to return to OU and Student Media, coupled with his innovative experience in professional media and his long-term vision of excellence for OU Student Media. Nick views a media operation holistically and ultimately sees audience dev`elopment as the key to a quality product and financial viability.’
“In addition to his professional media experience, Jungman has nine years of university-level teaching experience at Wichita State University, Newman University and Missouri School of Journalism where he served as a Knight Visiting Editor for two years.”
