Catherine Carlock of the Boston Business Journal writes about what happened when Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders tweeted out a story she wrote.
Carlock writes, “I was floored. The Business Journal is a niche publication, writing local business news for a local business audience. “I texted some of my colleagues. ‘So, uh, Bernie tweeted one of my stories?’ I wrote.
“‘SANDERS?!’ wrote back fellow reporter Jessica Bartlett.
“I replied in the affirmative, then put my phone on airplane mode to enjoy the movie — the newest adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. (It was a charming delight.)
“Two hours later, when the movie got out, I pulled out my phone again as my friend and I stood in the cold waiting for the MBTA Green Line. Text after text had been rolling in.”
