Reuters senior correspondent Sylvia Westall has joined Bloomberg News in Dubai where she will be covering the Gulf and the wider region.
Prior to joining Bloomberg, Westall spent 13 years at Reuters. She started as a graduate trainee and was promoted to the post of correspondent in 2008. Then, in 2012, she became the Kuwait correspondent for Reuters covering politics, economics, finance and energy news.
Most recently, she held the post of senior correspondent where she covered political and financial news.
Westall has a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in medieval French literature from the Université Paris-Sorbonne.
