Sound Publishing Inc. purchased The Bellingham Business Journal and The Wenatchee Business Journal from Sun News Inc., according to a story in the Bellingham Herald.
“‘Our focus has been in community newspapers, but the business publications also fit well with what we’re doing,’ Tempelmayr said. ‘The former owners built a strong community connection, and we intend to build on that.’
“Vanessa Blackburn, editor and publisher of The Bellingham Business Journal, said the sale will strengthen the publication.
“‘We will have the benefits and support of a larger company while maintaining the editorial autonomy we’ve had before,’ Blackburn said.”
