Washington CEO magazine folds

Washington CEO magazine has been sold to rival Seattle Business and will no longer publish, according to a story in the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The story stated, “The monthly magazine’s assets have been acquired by Tiger Oak Publications of Minnesota, publisher of Seattle Business and Seattle Magazine, for an undisclosed price.

“Real estate developer Dave Sabey has owned Washington CEO since August 2006. Last month, the magazine’s top editor left and wasn’t replaced, a casualty of the economic crisis, according to magazine officials.

“Washington CEO officials cited an expected dip in 2009 revenues for the decision. They added the magazine had a monthly circulation of 32,500 and a staff of 16.”
