Vox Media hires executive producer of content for Swisher

Erica Anderson has been hired by Vox Media as executive producer of content and partnerships for Recode’s Kara Swisher.

She’ll begin Jan. 28, reporting to Vox’s executive editor and director of editorial strategy Allison Rockey, based in New York.

“Erica is one of the smartest people I know,” said Swisher. “Her instincts about the future of media combined with nearly eight years working inside Twitter and Google creates a killer combination. As my EP, she’ll shape the next generation of Recode content across mediums and deeper into the mainstream.”

Anderson will supervise and oversee the editorial vision of an expanding portfolio of content and experiences surrounding Swisher, co-founder and editor at large of Recode, producer and host of the Recode Decode and Pivot podcasts, co-executive producer of Recode’s Code conference series, New York Times contributing opinion writer, host of the Revolution series on MSNBC, and MSNBC contributor.

”Technology is no longer a niche topic. The tech industry impacts every area of our lives from our health to our elections to the way we work and travel — and there is no more important voice on tech than Kara Swisher,” said Rockey. “Erica will be instrumental in helping us bring Kara’s voice, influence and real talk to an even wider, more diverse audience desperate to understand how technology is radically changing our world.”
