Vox has hired Phoebe Gavin as executive director of learning and development.
Gavin left her position as editorial director of growth at financial news site Quartz earlier this year to focus full-time on her coaching business.
She is the author of the book “The Workplace Guide to Time Management: Best Practices to Maximize Productivity.”
Gavin joined Quartz in May 2018 as a member of Quartz’s Growth team, which leads efforts to grow Quartz’s audience. She joined Quartz from ThinkProgress, where she was senior audience engagement editor. In that role, she developed a new digital distribution strategy and revolutionized the site’s Twitter presence — growing it by 120 percent in just a year.
