Cole Villena, a business reporter at The Tennessean, is moving to the Williamson County reporting team next week.
He has been covering retail, hospitality and tourism for the newspaper for the past 13 months.
Previously, Villena was an editorial assistant at INDY Week. He has also worked as part of the technical staff at Carolina Performing Arts and was also an intern at INDY Week. He was also orientation leader, new student and family programs at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Additionally, he has also worked as a technical director at Carolina Now.
Villena has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.
