Cole Villena
The Tennessean has hired Cole Villena on its business reporting team.
He will start on Oct. 12 and will cover retail, hospitality and tourism.
Previously, Villena was an editorial assistant at INDY Week. He has also worked as part of the technical staff at Carolina Performing Arts and was also an intern at INDY Week. He was also orientation leader, new student and family programs at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Additionally, he has also worked as a technical director at Carolina Now.
Villena has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill.
