Vigeland joins WSJ as senior podcast host/producer

Tess Vigeland has joined the Wall Street Journal as a senior host and producer, where she will be hosting a brand new podcast on careers and work lives.

The podcast begins in January.

Vigeland has hosted several at the national business and economics show “Marketplace” for 11 years. She also anchored NPR’s “All Things Considered” and multiple programs at NPR member stations. Her career has also spanned reporting throughout Asia and the Middle East.

She also created and anchored special programming for a small public station in the aftermath of California’s deadliest wildfire, for which she received a 2019 Gracie Award for Best Host/Anchor, and a 2019 National Edward R. Murrow award for Continuing Coverage, among other honors.

She has also served as an anchoring content for Google and Bank of America (through Gimlet Media), the University of Chicago, and others.

Additionally, she has contributed to The New York Times, The Guardian, and Quartz and has worked as a producer, editor, and news director for local public radio stations.
