Motherboard, a tech-focused publication owned by Canadian-based Vice Media, and has made two new hires.
The online magazine and video channel focuses on the way human beings interact with technology as well as modern science news.

The publication announced that it hired Janus Rose as a senior editor who will be focusing on algorithmic justice, labor, and resilience.
Rose is a writer and educator that has covering technology and privacy for over a decade, writing for publications such as The New Yorker, Slate and The Verge.
Edward Ongweso Jr. will also be joining Motherboard as a staff writer, where he plans to focus on labor and technology.
He was previously a congressional intern at the U.S. House of Representatives for several months, and also worked from 2014 to 2017 as a news editor at Genius.

Ongweso was also an editorial assistant at Genius from 2012 to 2014, as well. He graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in political economy.
