Greg David has joined The City as a contributor covering fiscal and economic issues for the publication.
His first story examines the state of the New York City economy and what the difficult journey back will look like.
Along with his new post, David is also the director of the business and economics reporting program at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. You can also listen to him weekly on WNYC’s Financial 411 on Friday at 4:30 and WCBS Newsradio 880’s opening bell report on Mondays at 9:30.
For the past 35 years and two months, David was with Crain Communications, which he joined in 1976 and worked at business insurance and as managing editor and special projects editor at Crain’s Chicago Business.
In 1985, he served as editor for Crain’s New York Business and from October 2008 to December 2009 as editorial director.
In January 2010, he started writing a weekly print column and online blog on New York business, economic and journalism issues for Crain’s New York Business.
