Daniel Holloway, the executive editor for television coverage at Variety, is leaving for a job on the awards team at Amazon Studios.
His last day is Friday.
“There isn’t a smarter group of good people covering the entertainment business,” he wrote on Twitter. “Not being able to say goodbye to them in person truly, deeply sucks.”
Holloway oversees coverage of the television business across multiple platforms. Prior to joining Variety, he served as programming and digital media editor at Broadcasting & Cable and executive editor of Backstage.
A Florida State University graduate, he began his career as a news assistant on the sports desk at the Tallahassee Democrat.
