USA Today business editor Philana Patterson sent out the following announcement on Friday:
I am happy to announce that Janna Herron will join USA TODAY’s Money team to cover personal finance, real estate and financial markets. For more than a decade, Janna has reported on and written about business, personal finance and real estate news and trends. She has previously worked at the Associated Press, Bankrate, The Fiscal Times and ValuePenguin and has been interviewed as a personal finance expert by CNBC, CNNMoney, Fox Business News and National Public Radio, among many other news outlets.
Janna has received two SABEW awards, a Peter Lisagor award and was a finalist for the Gerald Loeb award. Janna graduated from Duke University with majors in English and drama.
She lives with her husband and son in Manhattan. Janna will be based in the New York City bureau and joins us on Sept. 4. Please join me in welcoming Janna to the team.
