Dawn Kissi is the co-founder of Emerging Market Views, a global platform delivering news, expert analysis, opinion and multimedia on the world emerging and frontier economies.
Her journalism career began in New York City and she has since reported from a number of countries covering global business, finance, and world markets. For the past decade, she has reported and produced extensively on the emerging and frontier markets and the geopolitics surrounding them, including for the global business network CNBC.com as a special writer/correspondent. She has worked as a staff reporter in some of the world’s prominent newsrooms as well as niche publications.
Kissi was a 2009 Atlantik-Brucke fellow (Germany), was selected as a 2017 Tow-Knight Fellow in entrepreneurial journalism by CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism, was named a 2018 ‘Top Woman in Media’ in the category of entrepreneurship by FOLIO: the US-based media industry trade group, and through a competitive process was selected as a 2020-2021 Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business & Economics Journalism at Columbia University’s School of Journalism and Graduate School of Business.
Momoe Ban Braveman has been a business journalist and senior correspondent for The Nikkei, Japan’s largest business newspaper with 3 million copes in circulation.
Her coverage has primarily focused on U.S. business and financial markets, including banks and brokerages, venture businesses, and hedge funds. She also covers U.S. cultural and social issues and appears regularly on Japanese TV programs as a financial reporter. Braveman has published and contributed to several books on U.S. business in Japanese.
