Twin Cities radio station switches to all-business format

Sam Black of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports that local radio station KYCR is switching its format to all business news.

Black reports, “The station, which relies heavily on nationally syndicated programming, will go by the name Business1570, according to a press release from station owner Camarillo, Calif.-based Salem Communications Corp.

“According to the station’s Web site, current programs include Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Dennis Miller, Quinn & Rose and Mark Levin.

“The new format, which begins March 30, will offer national and local programming ‘that will focus on the areas of business, finance, real estate along with stock market updates every 20 minutes during market hours.’

“It will include programming from Bloomberg Financial and CNBC. Program hosts include Ray Lucia and Lou Dobbs.”
