Paid subscribers to the Triangle Business Journal rose 17 percent in 2019, the biggest increase of any American City Business Journals paper, writes editor Sougata Mukherjee.

Mukherjee writes, “Last year, our paid subscriptions rose more than 17 percent, setting yet another new record for us following a successful 2018, when subscriptions grew more than 13 percent.

“Your newspaper also ranked first in 2019 among total number of added subscriptions during the year. Overall, almost all of ACBJ’s properties had big gains in subscriptions, with our digital products leading the way for growth across all sectors of our business.

“While our local economy is playing a significant role in pushing TBJ’s success to new levels, this is a good time for me to thank our dedicated staff of reporters, editors, designers and photographers for their hard work during the year.

“When you receive our Morning Edition and our Afternoon Edition each weekday and then sit back and read our Friday print edition, I am sure most of you have noticed some of the additions we have incorporated into our coverage to bolster engagement with you.”
