Triad Biz Journal names Mellott its new publisher

Abby Mellott

Abby Mellott has been named market president and publisher of Triad Business Journal.

Jane Little of the Business Journal writes, “She succeeds Ollie Chandhok, who was recently named market president and publisher of the Dallas Business Journal, a sister publication.

“Mellott joined American City Business Journals in 2006 as a circulation sales executive at the Washington Business Journal and was promoted to circulation and marketing director in 2008. Two years later, she was named audience development director at the Austin Business Journal. Mellott joined the corporate staff as a regional audience development director in 2015.

“Originally from Ohio, Mellott is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and will be relocating to the Greensboro area with her husband, Josh, and their 5-year-old daughter, Addison.

“‘The Triad region is growing,’ Mellott said. ‘The business climate is strong and it’s only getting better. The success the TBJ team has had over the last few years is something I look forward to continuing. We have the right people, and I couldn’t be more excited to lead them.'”
