Carl Wilson, who spent 29 years at the News & Record in Greensboro, has joined the Triad Business Journal as special sections editor, data reporter and researcher.
Managing editor Daniel Finnegan writes, “Wilson will be responsible for creating TBJ’s weekly lists and heading up the annual Book of Lists. In addition, he will produce the content for TBJ’s special sections, starting with the 2022 Outstanding Women in Business in this edition. He will gather and analyze data for articles that provide business intelligence on important trends, such as demographics, compensation and finance, while also helping TBJ reporters research and compile data for their stories.
“Wilson was a reporter covering food and retail when he left the News & Record in 2020. After leaving the newspaper, Wilson worked as a digital technician at Kofile, which restores and digitizes historic public documents.
“‘Carl brings a wealth of experience to our newsroom, extending beyond journalism to database management, video and audio production and community engagement,’ Editor Lloyd Whittington said. ‘His proven adaptability will serve us, and more importantly our readers, well in the weeks, months and years to come.'”
