Triad Biz Journal hires Moffett as managing editor

Margaret Moffett

Margaret Moffett has been hired as the managing editor at the Triad Business Journal.

She replaces Lloyd Whittington, who was promoted to editor of the American City Business Journals paper.

Jessica Seaman of the Business Journal writes, “Moffett has extensive experience with the News & Record, serving most recently as a reporter but also in management roles.

“‘One of the attributes that excites us most about Margaret is her versatility,’ Whittington said. ‘In her long career as a professional journalist in the Triad, Margaret has done it all, from covering a beat to editing content to managing and mentoring a team.’

“‘At the same time, she knows this region and its leaders exceptionally well, and we are certain her perspective will benefit us and our readers in the depth of the content we provide,’ he said.

“Moffett, a native of North Wilkesboro, has spent the bulk of her career at the News & Record, having first joined the Greensboro newspaper in 1995. She has held multiple roles during her time at the News & Record, including as assistant city editor and assistant sports editor.”
